I used it over a nail tip and it keeps my nails nice and strong. It has lifted, however I used a nail clipper, then filed it and then filled in with a coat of gel and viola! Doesn't even look like I repaired it! It does take a little bit getting used to using the product, but overall is a smart purchase. The thickness is what you make it to be and the clarity is crystal clear. Set it under a UV light for 60-120 seconds and you're done!
