Unfortunately, the OTHER brand that I had purchased a few years back did NOT hold up well, and also were not that easy to install - based on how the screw attachments worked. Also, one end had rusted out a bit, and another had melted, so I decided to buy THIS brand instead, and try again. I was impressed by the quality of THIS brand - much sturdier, AND the way that you insert the wires into the holes and screw them down tight was a MUCH better design, and MUCH easier than the other brand. In fact, it so was so easy to install these ends, that I decided to build another 2 extension cords from scratch as well! I also REALLY liked the way that they designed the parts that grab the full wire - as it enters the body of these cord ends. When you easily line up the cord, and screw it down tight, the clamp has a really strong grip on the cord - which I'm sure will make the connections last much longer on my work sites!
