Review: Works well for me - These clippers are awesome. First, my dog is a princess, or at least he thinks he's royalty. If you have a Shih Tzu you know what I'm talking about. I also did not get him until he was 8 months old. He had never been groomed, brushed, potty trained. Side note, from a back yard breeder without the knowledge of what to do. Him and his brothers and sisters were neglected but the woman realized she couldn't do it and had listed all of the dogs on Craigslist. He came from a bad upbringing but not an evil person. The first thing we did when I got him home was a bath. As best as I could. Then we did vet and groomer the next day. He does not do crates. I was paying close to $150 for each grooming just for "Rush" service to avoid putting him in a crate. I tried myself with several clippers(People clippers) and he would literally fight me. If you've seen an angry Shih Tzu. Then I found a great local person that would then do him in her house. She said he was a doll. It was obvious he wasn't because she cut him several times. Ordered these. Well damn. He doesn't get the anxiety and I can do the greater portion of him in one night. Very helpful when the seasons changed. He's always at puppy cut. The clippers are super quiet, don't tug and he doesn't bite at them. The scissors. Close to garbage. I just saw another review about tightening a screen. I bought a $3 pair from Sally's. They seem very high quality and could be sharpened and adjusted, but I only use them on his face. That's a process. He still gets mad about grooming his face. Side note though. I bought this kit for $25. If it was the price it is now like $50. I would've bought another people trimmer. Would I spend $50 on it should it break tomorrow no. I haven't had it long enough and if it breaks, that's too fast. I don't think that's happening though. I've had it 6 months and we did a trim last night. Have I saved more than the $20 or $50 plus annoyances since buying it. Yes. Sadly, now I'm updating. My Shih Tzu has passed and now I have a Portuguese Water Dog. The guards that come with this aren't quite suitable for a larger dog. .55 inch is the longest.

**Q: Anybody that has had these for a while, do they seem durable?**
A: Yes and with proper care and maintenance they will last a long time I had my last set almost a year befor I misplaced them lol 😄

**Q: What do the different sizes 3,6,9,12 mean? If I only wanted to trim a bit of my dog’s hair off, which one would I use?**
A: If you only want to trim a little, I'd start with the largest/highest number (ie 12mm/12 millimeter- just like for human hair trimmers), and trim going with the direction of the fur/hair growth. If you go against the hair (or against the grain) then you'll be right up against the base of the hair growth and well... you'll probably take off way more hair than you're meaning to and what's done is done. I've done that. It was kind of hilarious but did make me learn really quick of what not to do. There are also numbers on the trimmer that I'm going to call the dial that adjust the length of the blade- again, go long and work down. By starting with the longest length attachable comb going with the hair, and afterwards you're like hmmm, that's still too long, then do it again but switching out the attachable comb for the next one that is short (if you started with the 12mm, then replace the 12mm with the 9mm). You can always take a little more length off, but you can't put length back on. Clean out the trimmer as you go to keep it functioning/cutting at its best and not overheating, which can really comfortable and sometimes painful to a dog's/animal's sensitive skin, which is why it's better to use a trimmer (sometimes I see them called clippers) that are made for dogs/animals on dogs/animals because they don't heat up as quickly and are made for longer use. Those that are made for human hair trimming are not made for extended use while going over a full body. Holy moly, I got a little deep into the details but hopefully it helps. Lol!! If not, or if you want even more, ice found soooo many helpful videos on YouTube. Plus, I'd rather have someone show me instead of me having to read that massive response I just wrote. Hopefully this long response didn't make your eyes cross by the end of it, if so... I'd suggest waiting a little bit before jumping into that trim. 😉

**Q: what are the rpm ?**
A: I don't know.  Seller should answer.  It is very slow speed.  Only one speed use...slow.  Ok tho for my dogs length of fur.

**Q: How long does it take for them to get hot?**
A: hi client.
Under normal use, there will not  be get hot.
if working time too long.suggest pause for a period of time to continue using.can extend the service life

Have had some time to test this kit out on my golden retriever and I have to say it is great value for the money. He does not like alot of loud sounds and the trimmer is very quiet, he is still curious, but it makes it alot easier to get close. The kit comes with a bunch of other stuff that I needed, like the comb and scissor, which are very sharp and work great. Overall this is a 5 star for me, allows me to do alot of the grooming at home.
