Review: 05 Chevy Silverado rear brake shoes - I'm impressed with the quality of these Wagner shoes, I was a bit thrown back when I saw both right and left side were identical and marked with an r I thought it was packaged wrong because usually an r is for the right side and l is for the left side but both marked are made me think I'm going to have to send them back but when I looked at the brakes in the rear axle Chevy designed it that way identical where instead of both parking brake cables come in from the front they made it where one comes in from the front and the other comes in from the rear. So on the passenger side the parking brake mechanism is on the front of the axle and the driver side parking brake mechanism is on the rear of the axle.
