And absolutely never gets soggy. I sometimes use my skoy cloth afterwards when I am wiping down counters. It doesn't scratch, so it's equally good with stainless steel pots or cast iron pans that need some crud removed. In particular, I've been really delighted with how easy it makes cleaning a cast iron grill (you know, the kind with ridges where the burnt food bits get firmly stuck inside the grooves): I've used it after cooking burgers, steaks, and sausages, and every single time a couple of rounds of good scrubbing gets everything off. Haven't had to use a scraper or brush or anything else.
