The magnet is very strong for heavy phones however.My main gripe is having to readjust it every time because it droops when I take my phone away. And doing so caused one of the sticky pads to peel off INSIDE my cd player.Avoid. Magnets are good so there's little chance of the phone coming off.However there is one problem. The three 'tongues' that hold in the CD slot are covered with a thin silicon/rubber pad to create better grip. Unfortunately these grippy pads are attached with double sided adhesive tape and slowly slide off the plastic parts.
