I've had it for more than a year. I just bought this one so that I would also have a right hand version. The quality seems about the same. They work equally well hoisting my 200 pounds up a rope. The only two differences I noticed are that 1) the petzyl has some plastic on a latch handle where this has metal and 2) the petzl has a big oval hole at the bottom where this has 2 smaller holes. This ascender claims to be certified by both UIAA and CE.
