However, if you have a destroyer cat like my Kit, I really recommend the buffalo hair frog. It has held up the best. The deer hair toys get destroyed quickly due to the staple of the hair. The buffalo is a bit harder to rip the hair out of because the hair felts. However, it seems that the hair on the frog is pre-felted a bit and really holds up the best. I need to replace ours, though, because its "legs" have been ripped off and he loves to play fetch with it and carry it around in his mouth and has salivated over it so much that it pretty much looks like a recently-expelled hairball. I had to take it off the wand because my younger cat would freak out when I would put the wand toy away, but I couldn't leave anything with a string or wire out around him as he would ingest them.
