Then I cleaned the hood surface. I sprayed hi temp adhesive on the hood surface and the pad surface. I let the adhesive get tacky, about 5 minutes. I got a helper and started the install at the top of the hood going down. ( as soon as you put the pad on the hood it sticks instantly) Once in place just press the pad everywhere. You may have to trim some pad at the bottom. Then install the clips. **Q: Please indicate pad material, is it foam or felt? asin b08p43x874** A: The pads are usually foam. Use a good hi temp adhesive. Spray on both surfaces and let get tacky. **Q: is this an replicated item or an OEM replacement part?** A: IDK, but it fits my SL320 perfectly and I'm pleased with it. ## Frequently Bought Together - SCSN Hood Insulation Pad Compatible with Mercedes Benz SL320 SL500 SL600 R129 300SL 500SL 600SL 1990-2002 1296802025 0140680012 - 3M Super Trim Adhesive 08090, Clear Color, Lightweight, Long Bonding, Easy To Apply, 19 oz --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - πŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** β€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** β€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - πŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** β€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - πŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** β€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - πŸ”’ **Secure Payments** β€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** β€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.tn/products/269746316-hood-insulation-pad-compatible-with-mercedes-benz-sl320-sl500-sl600](https://www.desertcart.tn/products/269746316-hood-insulation-pad-compatible-with-mercedes-benz-sl320-sl500-sl600) --- *Product available on Desertcart Tunisia* *Store origin: TN* *Last updated: 2026-10-22*
