I bought a huge packet of HEAVY DUTY no-name batteries (not alkaline) from a hardware store. It takes 2 batteries and I probably mow the pasture 3 or 4 times before I have to replace them and it takes me 6 hours to mow, so doing the math, you will get about 24 hours of music off a couple of cheap batteries before you'll need to replace. I would assume you will get much more if you use alkaline. An outstanding feature is that long before the batteries go dead, a woman's voice comes over the radio and says LOW BATTERY, so you get a heads up to change them out before they die. Another feature is that after many hours of use, the unit will check to see if you are still listening and will prompt you to hit the volume button in a few seconds or it will shut off on it's own to save the battery. **Q: How long does the battery last on a full charge?** A: I can usually go about a week and a half on a full charge. I'm really good about waiting until the battery is really low and then doing a full charge before unplugging it. I listen about 7 hours out of a 9 hour day. It takes a long time to charge. **Q: Is the rechargeable battery replaceable** A: 3M ALPHA1100 Rechargeable Li-Ion Battery Pack is replaceable. **Q: Does this have am/fm as well as bluetooth?** A: Thank you for asking. the 3M WorkTunes Connect Hearing Protector with Bluetooth Technology, does not have am/fm capability. If you are looking for both Bluetooth and am/fm radio capability, you will want the 3M Worktunes Wireless Hearing Protection with Bluetooth Technology and AM/FM Radio, model number 90542-3DC. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Ear protection whilst listening to music and hearing the phone rung *by on Reviewed in Singapore 30 December 2021* I've been using a 3M hearing protection unit of a similar design for a few years, but this unit's addition of bluetooth + built-in radio brings a whole new capability to hearing protection --- you can actually enjoy the process! It's well-built, quite comfy, and it works well. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Satisfacción total *by on Reviewed in Mexico 14 June 2022* Excelente set de audífonos / protectores de oídos. Los recomiendo 100% ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 3m worktunes with Bluetooth comfortable and convienient *by on Reviewed in Canada 29 January 2017* I spend a lot of hours every year wearing radio ear muff hearing protection at my job. I have purchase many different brands over the past 5 years and so far I like these the best. I have owned them for approximately 3 months now and really enjoy the Bluetooth connection to my phone. In the past all of the other models I had purchased had a auxillary port that I could run a cable to. I didn't use it very often to listen to the music on my phone as I found that I was constantly untangling the mini plug evertime I was moving from job site to job site, which was frequently. Also sometimes the cord would get caught on things or simply keep brushing me on my neck irratating me. I do wish you could answer a call with these (hopefully in a newer model). I have found it just mutes the music a little when I get a call which is usually enough to get my attention to answer my phone, but it would be nice not to have to remove these and use my phone. I operate loud equipment and before these would usually miss any phone calls. The sound quality of the speakers is pretty good. The noise blocking of the foam is among the best I've tried. The comfort after 8-12 hours of continued use is the best I have tried. One little feature it has that I have not had before on any other brand is that part of the foam in the headband is removable so if you are wearing a hat, the little bump on the top of a baseball hat fits comfortably through the whole in the foam. I was shocked at what a difference this made after hours of use. A minor feature but makes a huge difference in the comfort for anyone wearing these over a hat. I like how the radio will announce the station you are listeneing to and lets you scan through your favorite stations. With other headsets I've used I found I was having to take them off briefly to find the station I was looking for. The battery life is definitely not as good as most other headsets I've tried. I found most of the others I would replace the batteries with brand name ones every 6-8 weeks with a lot of listening. With these I find I replace the batteries (same brand) every 2-3 weeks. For me I'm fine with the added costs of batteries as listening to music throughout my day helps me stay focused and happier and makes my work day pass by more enjoyably. By having Bluetooth I have found I listen to my own music so much more as i don't have to mess with a cable and can change songs right from the selection wheel on the headset. Very easy. I highly recommend the 3m worktunes to anyone looking for the most comfort of any headset or the convienience of having no chords to carry/deal with. They were very easy to pair with my iPhone 6 and connect to it right away every time I turn on the worktunes and my phone is in range. I have not tested the Bluetooth range, but they have not given me any problems so far and have worked no matter what pocket I have my phone in or where my phone is in the cab of the vehicle that I have been in. I would definable your buy again!ProsGood sound quality even better when listening to music with the Bluetooth functionGood noise blockingGood reception ( but not the best I've tried)Most comfortable pair I've ever triedBluetooth connectivityVoice announcing the station/mode your onPretty durable (so far time will tell)ConsCan't answer calls from headsetAbout half the battery life (2-3 weeks approx 80hours) then other headsets ## Frequently Bought Together - 3M WorkTunes - 4 X Earpads - Ear Cushion Replacement Foam Ear Pads Compatible with 3M WorkTunes（(90543, 90544, 90542, 90541) ）/ Peltor Range Guard Connect Hearing Protector（EM042/033/037 Series ） --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.tn/products/269785484-worktunes-connect-am-fm-hearing-protection-and-3m-kids-hearing](https://www.desertcart.tn/products/269785484-worktunes-connect-am-fm-hearing-protection-and-3m-kids-hearing) --- *Product available on Desertcart Tunisia* *Store origin: TN* *Last updated: 2026-10-15*
