They are extremely durable. They do work with ballpoint and rollerball pens, though a crayon or pencil is your best bet if its wet. WIth a lumber crayon or pencil, you can write underwater!! It is difficult to erase from this paper, so keep mistakes to a minimum or you will need to use some serious elbow grease, and will wear though erasers quickly. They are also a perfect pocket sized notebook, its footprint is the same height as my wallet, and a half inch or so narrower. Will be grabbing more once mine are filled!
