It still has a "float" charge which WILL decrease and be completely gone in about 3hrs. So when you unplug the charger and plug it back in, the charger thinks you're trying to charge a battery that is already fully charged because it has +13.0 volts (float voltage). Lead acid batteries are 100% charged at +12.6 volts (resting voltage), AGM batteries are 100% charged at +12.8 volts (resting voltage).Basically if you unplug the battery while it's still charging, you have to wait for the battery to get back down to its resting voltage for the charger to know the exact condition of the battery which takes about +2-3hrs. If it's your car battery you can just turn your lights on for 15-20 minutes without the engine running and stick it back on the charger. You'll see it start back at the actual % charge of the battery. No lo recomiendo ### ⭐ Dangerous *by W***E on 12 April 2021* I bought this in February 2021 as my old charger stopped working. Was sat in the box until a few days ago when I needed to charge the car as it hadn't been used for a few weeks. Switched it on after connecting it to my battery terminal and went inside the house for a gfew minutes. Luckily I came back out to check it and smoke was pouring out of the side vents. I switched it off and could hear burning noises coming from inside the box for several minutes. I then wnt to see my Amazon order to request a replacement and found there was no option, as apparently this had been shipped from the US. This could be a one off but it could have set light to my car or worse if it was charging in the house. To add insiult to injury I can't even replace it.
