Review: DEFECTIVE - I didn't used after purchasing for almost one year, and decided to open now. Surprisingly, it not works through workbench. On windows, I couldn't work with this, tried on Mac. Only through terminal it can show that reader is visible and works, but on workbench same situation - not finds. Tried multiple times to reinstall but not helpful

**Q: Is this a writer too?**
A: Yes of course it's a writer too. I use the desktop version 3121 of this reader daily to write to smart cards. (I work for a smartcard company) 
The desktop model is nicer to use so that you don't need two hands to put a card into it.

**Q: Where do i get software for this device ?**
A: Depends on what card you use. Check with card issuer what software to use.

**Q: Does it work with Chromebook.?**
A: The device itself should work fine with ChromeOS, but you should check if the necessary software for your smart card is available (you should check with card issuer probably).

**Q: does it come with a writing softwear ?**
A: No, there isn't any writing software.
