Like most people in Texas, at some point I developed allergies. I've done the whole gamut for relief, from allergy shots to every OTC medication available. The allergy shots DID WORK, but are a HUGE PAIN. Drive to the clinic twice a week and have to wait around? Forget it! Granted, they might have better procedures these days (that was 10 years ago), but it is still a pain.Anyway, once Nasacort went OTC last year around May or so, I figured I'd give it a try. It has worked perfectly. So, in the last 15 months or so, I haven't had an ear infection at all. I usually get two or three per year. My ear infections are related to my sinus infections, so this has cured that whole problem at least for now. I also haven't had any other allergy problems in that time (itchy eyes, sneezing, etc.)I think the trick is to use it every day regardless of "symptoms". I hit a shot in each nostril every morning, and have been allergy free for the last 15 months or so. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works! *by A***. on Reviewed in the United States on 1 February 2015* Works great!I use with or instead of Nasonex and this is great! Even with coupons Nasonex has gotten quite expensive.For those not familiar with this type of spray - this is not an instant spray like Afrin. This will help prevent stuffy noses and works better with regular use. If you use daily for a week or so I would guess a person would see improvement from the stuffiness but then you'd need to keep using to keep the stuffiness at bay.A friend told me he starts using about 2-4 wks before he expects his allergy season to hit (fall for him) and then uses daily until he feels like his allergy season has passed. He also uses nasal rinse (netipot) daily during this time and he found it made a world of difference for him.For the ladies out there - a tip a friend gave me once that seems to obvious after I heard it - on days when I am outside a lot, especially during a time when pollens are high, I make sure to shampoo my hair that night before bed. It can dry out my hair so do other things to help that but it really made a difference. I also use allergy covers on my pillow AND my husbands since my face is right next to his pillow too.(and he washes his hair if he is outside a lot that day). ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This Stuff Works Great for allergies! I have horrible allergies all year long, but this makes it so that I have no symptoms at all.It takes several days to really start to work, so give it a week to see if it will work for you.It doesn't really burn or hurt to use, I have zero side effects, and my allergies are completely at bay.I stopped using it for a couple of days just to see if I had been imagining the results, but my allergies came back. So I started using it again and hope I never run out.The great thing about this is that there are no knock-on effects like Afrin. Afrin is great for like one day, for a cold, but for allergies, you need something that will continue through the whole season or all year. Afrin makes things worse if you use it for too long, but this stuff, it's like I'm just a normal person with no allergies when I use it. It's amazing.The great thing is that it doesn't just work on runny nose. It clears up my sneezing AND watery, itchy eyes! AND it even clears up my itchy ears! In fact, I also no longer have an itchy throat or mouth.So yeah, it's totally worth a try at least. I did a lot of research before trying it, but oh, am I glad I took a chance. I've taken Flonase and other prescription stuff that never did a thing, so I had low expectations.
