A: Actual weight is 635 grams which is about 1.4 pounds.

**Q: Does it fit over an adventure touring jacket?**
A: Probably so it just goes around your neck and has a strap and buckle system so it fits with alot of stuff

**Q: Would this work for downhill mountain bike?**
A: I do not see why not, this is a safety device designed for riding to protect ones neck. I use it for desert racing on quads and it is comfortable and adjustable. Hope this helps!!
