Review: The only pellets I use - I bought a Rec Tec grill this spring and these were the pellets delivered with it. I had two 40lb bags. I use the grill about two times per week on average cooking a wide range of items with short to very long cook times. In all cases these pellets worked out terrifically. They burn long with little ash, have plenty of smoke with a nice even flavor for all meats and side dishes. The grill comes right up to the set temp and hold solid on the set point whether cooking low and slow or hot and fast. My grill has a 40lb hopper so one bag fills it perfectly. I went through those first two bags fairly quickly and continue to buy only these pellets. My only negative is that they are a bit pricey. But I will stick with them because they work so well.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: How do these compare to cookinpellets perfect mix? I have a rec tec mini and have not had any negative experience with the perfect mix.**
A: I also have a RecTec mini. I only use the perfect mix for most pork products. I use the ultimate blend for all beef products and my macaroni and cheese. If you've never tried smoked Mac and Cheese, it's wonderful. Both pellets hold temperature and really low ash.

**Q: Are they ok for other pellet smokers**
A: WE have always used a hard wood smoker (Big Green Egg) and were a little concerned with a pellet smoker. These pellets with our RecTec Grill are wonderful and full flavor without being harsh or overbearing.

**Q: Made in america?  rectec grills are made in china so i’m wondering if the pellets are chinese made.**
A: Recteq grills are USA made in Augusta, Georgia, very heavy duty grills, well built.    I only use Recteq pellets, they’re great.

**Q: What's the diameter, please**
A: it depends on which size you choose.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great all purpose pellet for all occasions

Great pellet. Great flavor. Low ash. I’m not sure of the negative reviews. I guess no product can be 100% all of the time. Look, I’ve used many brands and many different woods to smoke. And these RecTec pellets outperform any pellets on the market. I’ve been using a pellet grill for 5 years, used thousands of pounds of different pellets and these are the best on the market. I’m not going to mention any other name brands but these are lower in ash, and lower in powder residue than any other pellet I’ve used. When i am cooking different foods and then have to turn up/down the temps, these pellets react fast and make it seamless. For example when finishing a brisket at 225, I can quickly turn to a higher heat to finish burgers, chicken breast, pork chops and the heat-up time is minimal. Also, these pellets allow the grill to come up to temp fast as well, nearly 30%-50% faster than other brands. I recently bought 80 pounds of a very large grill company brand and the time they took to heat up and also adapt to temperature change, I ended up removing those pellets and switching back to RecTec.
