Even the Xbox original sticks get stuck without the front cover in place. 2) If you over tighten the screws you can put too much pressure on the sticks and they can stick. I did tighten them a little too tight the first time I screwed them on. I eased up the screws a little and the sticks were fine. The tools this kit came with were great for getting the covers off, a pry tool and guitar pick. Installation was fairly easy. The toughest part was prying the back covers off. Also there is a hidden screw under the batteries. Xbox covered it with a label. It’s right in the center of that label, feel around and you can find a hole, I used the screwdriver to pierce through the label to get to the fifth screw to remove the front cover. I bought the light blue sticks with the grey pads to match my controller and the colors were a perfect match. My joysticks are working great and I would buy this product again!
