Between puberty and sports, the odor is miserable. We had her put them in her converse overnight as well as her sports tennis shoes. Both smelled better in the morning. The odor was not completely gone, but it was significantly better. I really liked the fact that these can be revived in the sunlight. I have not tried that yet, so I can not vouch for how well that works to revive and extend the life of the bags. I like that they are an all natural kind of alternative to chemical deodorizers that don't last long and have to be disposed of so quickly. Hopefully, we only continue to see awesome results from these deodorizer bags. I have used raw charcoal in old antique furniture before to remove odors, so it completely makes sense that charcoal could be contained in a less messy was for odor removal in all kinds of things.
