The bottom of the bowl has large, black sooty fingerprints on it that are not going away even after washing with warm, soapy water. Moreover, it's giving off the red paint of the rubber at the bottom wherever I place it. I do not know now if that red color coming off is toxic or not. The only good thing about it is the latticed top for the bowl which helps catch the seeds. The rest of it is junk and an used junk at that. It is a total waste of money.It should not have cost more than 2 or 3.00. Paying 17.00 for this was being robbed. The tapping with a heavy spoon is a joke. Almost no seeds separated from the hard rind of the pomegranate with this.
