The instructions are clear, and well written, I had very little problems with assembly. I will note that you will need some type of heat source for the construction, because several times during building I was required to calibrate some parts with wax (which is provided in the kit). The only complaint I have about the product is that, like some others have said in their reviews, SOME OF THE WOODEN PARTS ARE VERY DELICATE, AND SHOULD BE HANDLED WITH CARE. While building the treasure box, an important piece of the lock broke, and I couldn't fix it. So I contacted the company, and they were very kind. I told them about the broken pieces, and they nicely shipped me a completely new kit to replace the last one. It arrived within a week, and was in perfectly good condition.
