If I were going to frequently use the tester I would buy a storage case. **Q: I'm using this to make water boil, would this vacuum pump be sufficient enough to get the pressure low enough?** A: This pump will max out at 25" Hg, that will get the boiling point down to 130 F. If you can get the vacuum down to 28" Hg, water will boil at about 80 F. Altitude and water purity will affect those numbers. Search for "Hand Boiler" to find those blown glass learning toys. They boil at body temp and are kinda cool. **Q: Can this be also used to generate pressure for tests?** A: Yes.
