Review: Been looking for this type of clip for ages to hang out our indoor house mats that get very mucky & smelly in autunm/winter. Have set up a 5ft hanging bar outside using wood one inch by one & half inch in size. This size is perfect to hang the clips on, with the option of permantly attaching them to the bar using provided holes. The grip is brilliant easily dealing with our larger washed mats which can be quite heavy. To open jaws, pull up front flap & position your mat into the jaws then simply pull the flap back down to lock the mat in place simple as that. These clips are not cheap, but with 10 in the set I am really happy with them, would highly recommend.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Can I purchase a matching rod for these clips?**
A: Any black matte rod will basically “match” the clips.  There are many to choose from on Amazon.  Just do a search then look for size and style you want.

**Q: How much weight will this hold?**
A: Can give a limited answer.  I used the clamps on special handwoven Egyptian school's rug 12ft by 6ft, that was difficult to hang with other methods, and have had great success.  The clamps have held the rug exactly as originally hung, no slippage and no damage for my one-of-a-kind handmade rug, and will use the remaining clamps on any of my other expensive rugs without any hesitation.  Estimated weight, maybe 25 or more lbs...have never weighed it, fyi it is not a tightly woven rug by design and the clamps do not damage it when hung.

**Q: Can these clips be attached to the wall without a rod?**
A: I used a thin strip of wood that was used to clamp the rug vertically that was hung from two plastic clips I attached to the wall.

It was fairly simply to attach to the wall. They aren't make for larger rugs that have any sort of weight to them. It worked fairly well for smaller lighter rugs. Anything else caused the brackets to bend and didn't look nice. I wouldn't purchase again.
