It adds 68 new cards including unique roles like the Boss, Profiteer, and Geologist, introduces team-based gameplay, and features new tunnel cards with doors, ladders, and bridges. With an average playtime of 30 minutes, it enhances the classic strategy card game experience by increasing player count and complexity, perfect for social and competitive play. ## Description In Saboteur, each player takes on the role of gold-digging dwarf or saboteur who wants to hinder exploration of the gold mines but each player knows only his own role, so the digging may or may not go as planned Each turn, player either lays down tunnel card to dig from the start card toward one of the goal cards or potentially away, if saboteur or plays an action card to help or hinder someone. If the diggers manage to find the gold hidden under one of the goal cards, then the diggers share the loot found there if the gold cant be reached before the deck runs out, the saboteurs profit instead. After three rounds, the player with the most gold wins. The Saboteur expansion adds new role cards the boss, profiteers, geologists to the base game, new action cards steal gold, change your role, and new tunnel cards featuring doors, ladders and bridges. Whats more, the gold seekers can now be divided into teams blue vs. green and only those on the team that finds the gold score anything assuming that anyone finds the gold at all, of course... ## Features - AGES 8+ | 2-12 PLAYERS - EXPANSION PACK: This game requires β€œSaboteur” to play. It adds new cards and characters to the original game and increases the number of players for up to 12 - HOW TO PLAY: The dwarves are still mining and the saboteurs are still lurking around. But now the dwarves are divided into two squabbling and competing groups. They are joined by enough new dwarves for up to 12 players– the Boss tries to help both groups, the Profiteer deals with everyone, & the Geologists hunt crystals rather than gold. This is an expansion and requires the original Saboteur game to play ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B013FAC4VO | | Age Range Description | Kid | | Best Sellers Rank | #38,432 in Toys ( See Top 100 in Toys ) #1,238 in Board Games | | Brand Name | AMIGO | | Color | Expansion | | Container Type | Box | | Customer Reviews | 4.8 4.8 out of 5 stars (292) | | Edition | Expansion | | Educational Objective | Coordination | | Estimated Playing Time | 30 Minutes | | Expansion For | Saboteur | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00029877057139 | | Grenre | strategy | | Included Components | 15 Dwarf Cards, 21 Action Cards, 30 Path Cards, 32 Gold Nugget Tokens, Instructions | | Indoor Outdoor Usage | Indoor | | Is Assembly Required | No | | Item Dimensions | 9.5 x 12.4 x 2.5 centimeters | | Item Dimensions L x W | 17.8L x 5.1W centimeters | | Item Type Name | Strategy Card Gane | | Item Weight | 136 g | | Manufacturer | AMIGO | | Manufacturer Part Number | ASI5713 | | Manufacturer recommended age | 8 years and up | | Material Type | Cardboard | | Model Name | 18751 | | Model Number | ASI5713 | | Model Year | 2015 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Packs | 1 | | Number of Players | 12 | | Operation Mode | Manual | | Other Special Features of the Product | Expansion Pack, Team Play, New Roles | | Package Quantity | 1 | | Power Source | Manual | | Product Style | Classic | | Set Name | Saboteur 2 Expansion | | Size | 12.32 cm x 9.53 cm x 2.54 cm | | Sub Brand | (-) | | Subject Character | (-) | | Theme | Games | | UPC | 029877057139 853533008513 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | ## Product Details - **Age range (description):** Kid - **Brand:** AMIGO - **Material:** Cardboard - **Number of players:** 12 - **Theme:** Games ## Images ![Saboteur 2: Ages 9+ | 2-12 Players | Expansion Pack for Saboteur - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81jxNXuwICL.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: Is this a stand alone game or an expansion?** A: It is an expansion, you will need a copy of the base Saboteur to play. **Q: Is this the same as the additional cards included in saboteur the mother lode bonus pack?** A: Answering your question: though unfamiliar with the game and the 'Bonus Pack'. Back of the Saboteur 2 package says the contents are 32 Gold Nuggets, 30 Tunnel Cards, 21 Action Cards, 15 Personality Cards and complete instructions. Front of package does state that this is an expansion pack - and you need Saboteur to play. **Q: is in spanish too?** A: no, the instructions are in english. **Q: I have the older z-man version of the original saboteur. will this mayfair expansion work with that?** A: Yeah they will both work. Just that the 2 saboteur has new ways to play and a different characters just to make it more interesting. You should be okay. Enjoy both version.
