Looking at the pictures, they are same.** A: Hi Alex, Good question. The body of the Grinder and the Refiner are exactly the same. The difference is in the power transmission. The Rice grinder is designed to run for a few hours a week but the chocolate refiners are designed to run for days at a time. The Belts, gears and bearings are all different so these machines can carry more load and work for extended time. Chocolate refiners carry higher torque and the belts are designed to work at elevated temperatures.
