SHINY! *by M***H on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 20 February 2020* I purchased this Geeetech Gold Silk PLA filament to produce a Stargate themed cosplay hand ornament for a lady who contacted me on Facebook. After that was finished I decided to see the quality the filament could produce so I downloaded the STL for this low-poly vase from thingiverse.The texture and sheen of the finished vase can't really be captured very well, but it looks and feel spectacular. I printed it on my TEVO Tornado at 0.15mm layer height, at 210/60 for the first 3 layers and then 195/40 for the remainder. I sliced it in Cura and used vase mode.The 20CM tall vase took around 4 hours to print.This is the umpteenth reel of Geeetech PLA I've purchased and I've been impressed with all of it. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Geeetech are fast becoming one of my favourite filament brands. *by R***N on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 24 November 2019* So, after a good experience with the Geeetech White filament, I thought I'd give something sparklier a try.This is an interesting filament, unlike most I've used it's pretty hard to snap off the reel. It adheres to my Prusa i3 Mk3S smooth PEI bed like nothing I've ever seen - I've taken to cleaning the bed less when using this or it can actually be hard to get parts off! If you just want a PLA to stick to the bed well, buy this and don't bother reading the rest! I really mean it, I've never encountered anything like this in terms of bed adherence.I kept the settings to the Prusa defaults, which I've generally had a lot of luck with, so 60 degrees on the bed and 215 degrees on the hotend.So far I've printed a brush holder, which is nice and shiny, and then thought I'd try some multimaterial prints.The thing about multimaterial prints on the Prusa with the MMU2S, is that it has to repeatedly unload and load the filament into the nozzle. The 2 colour benchy at 0.1mm layers I printed, changed filaments 335 times during the print, the other filament used in it was Geeetech Marble.If a filament is too stringy, too soft, snaps easily, or generally uneven, multimaterial prints like this are an utter nightmare, of failed loads followed by beeping for you to manually intervene.I didn't have a single failed load during this print (or during the star trek bade, but that one was only a few loads). I'm really impressed!And, to cap it all off, like the other Geeetech filaments I've tried, the price on this is definitely right. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ One of the best fillaments I've used. *by P***L on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 20 August 2020* This is not my first Geetech filament purchase but its my first purchase of rainbow filament. I've seen some awesome colour change projects and I wanted to be part of that so Geetech was a natural choice of brands to try based on my previous experiences.The filament is wound well and you can see the colour changes through the sides of the filament spool.Along with rainbow filament I've also wanted to try out vase / spiral mode so I thought I'd get both firsts out of the way and print a vase mode vase in rainbow filament.I printed it on my Ender 3 printer and the results are phenomenal.
