The 12" stainless steel strainer basket installed on the top of the tank is the entry point of the tank and keeps out large debris like sticks and leaves. The tank includes a stainless steel screened overflow assembly, outlet bulkhead fitting and a .75" bulkhead fitting for a water hose spigot. The stainless steel screened overflow assembly is designed for directing overflow water during large rain storms while also keeping out pests & mosquitoes. The .75" bulkhead fitting is placed at a height that enables you to install a spigot or fit a watering can underneath for filling. The tank is made from polyethylene. The output dumps onto the screen on the top of the barrel and all of it flows in, even with gutter-overflowing downpours. I greatly improved mine by ditching that toy of a valve and using a M71QT quarter-turn valve. It now fill watering cans in a few seconds. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ FANTASTIC water tanks *by S***R on May 5, 2018* FANTASTIC water tanks! I'd been using 30 gal Rubbermaid trash cans or those 50 gal food storage drums, but these 100 gallon rain tanks are perfect to collect rainwater here in the Seattle area. A good rain can yield over 200 gallons. I have interconnected 4 rain tanks, & using a 1/6th hp utility pump, I can easily get the water to dry areas or even my soaker hose network. With the 1/6 hp pump, the water flows at a rate the ground can absorb......no run-off.
