This amazing, cheap yet durable siren runs on 12 volts off of your battery or transformer. This is the type of siren you get from professional alarm companies. Easily hook this thing up to any alarm system, whether if its homemade or commercial and it will blow your ears away. It has a built-in sound, so you just apply power and it screeches. This application is perfect to notify for intruders and fire.Very loud siren is emitted. Good for indoor use, you can use maybe 1 or 2 of these depending on how big your house is. This unit is not weatherproof, so outdoors is not advised. There are three wires on the unit. Red, Yellow, and black. You can connect red and black for a warble siren, or connect yellow and black to get a high pitched beep.Setup was very easy for me. I just had to connect the wires, mount the plastic plate on the wall, and snap on the main siren unit. Very effectively secured to the wall.Please note that this siren is more of the sound you hear from something like an ambulance siren, not a tiny cheap high-pitched door alarm. So this should be good for your general usesShipping for this item took about a week or so for me, but if you live near the NY area, then it will take a few days. The seller is pretty good with service and replied sincerely regarding my questions. Therefore, this is a good product and I recommend anyone who has a needs an alarm siren.
