In the body, glutamine functions as a major nitrogen transporter and is critical for the maintenance of healthy nitrogen balance.* Glutamine also acts as the primary fuel for the rapidly growing cells of the immune system and GI tract.* This double strength product has twice the L-Glutamine (1,000 mg per capsule) as in our regular strength product (500 mg per capsule). Natural color variation may occur in this product. Review: Good - Helpful. Family owned. In my book that is worth something. Good product, decent price, made in the USA. yeah I'm sure that there are sources from over seas but that can get a little funky if you know what I mean. I'm taking supplements for health and wellness and I really don't want to have to attempt to research an overseas supplier, you know?
