I have used this adapter to test a small toy helicopter (it was missing its lithium polymer battery pack) and it ran just fine, though I have never used it on a motor that needed more than 12 volts to operate. You can always connect a capacitor in parallel to the line, let the adapter charge it up, and then when you start the motor, the initial current draw will be alleviated by the capacitor and the adapter will then give a constant current flow for operation. if there is too much power draw the device will temporarily shut of and then reboot after 5 seconds after all loads have been disconnected. This thing really is a life saver, for that. It's seemingly inevitable that I will get a machine that does not come with the original power supply, and sometimes they can be hard to come by.
