The magnets prevented him from dropping/throwing them as often as he did the non-magnetic objects. (Tip: giving him two of these was just as entertaining as giving him all six.) Definitely going to purchase more as he grows older. We now carry them in the diaper bag/purse at all times - perfectly sized. Note unrelated to product- we definitely received a used product (had a piece of tape and some pencil scribbles on a couple of the pieces). We kept it because plane trip was next day, but a little disappointing. Not at all a reflection of the product itself, though.

Fun little puzzle with different shapes to try. Nice pouch that perfectly fits the pieces in to store. Quality wooden blocks with durable paint. Not great for travel because the pieces could get lost. Probably a good toy for 5 years old plus.
