Review: Works great on vintage White Sewing Machine! - I have a White Sewing machine that I received as a gift in 1973. The old pedal was shot. I was thrilled to find that this Universal Pedal worked perfectly! It's like my vintage machine is brand new! The light and the motor plug in separately, just like the original. Everything plugged in easily and fit in my old cabinet. It was priced reasonably. I cannot believe I waited so long to replace the foot pedal.
Review: Works well - My vintage White 764 had a short that necessitated replacement of the plug to the motor as well as the foot/speed pedal. Based upon other reviews, I was a little concerned that this would feel flimsy, but to the contrary, I felt reasonably good with its overall quality. Perhaps my expectations were so low that anything could be better than what I had envisioned (lol!). At any rate, it is working well with my machine and I like it better than the old metal pedal because I have better speed control. I purchased the plastic replacement rather than the metal one because reviews of the metal pedal indicated that speed wasn’t regulated. The plastic pedal does allow for speed control. I am not a speedy sewist so I was satisfied with how fast it allowed the sewing to go.

**Q: Does have a variable speed controller?**
A: Yes, the variable speed foot pedal allows the user to sew as fast or as slowly as needed. The new pedal I bought for my 42 year old work horse is far more efficient than the original.

**Q: Does this work with a 1.3 amp motor sewing machine?**
A: I am not sure about the amps but it does seem to be a universal foot pedal.  My sewing Machine is about 25 years old.  I keep it because it is dependable with no fancy options.

**Q: I need to extend the foot pedal/cord of my jenome harmony 2049 for use with a cutie quilting frame. would this pedal work for that purpose?**
A: the power cord from machine to wall is 8 ft long. the cord from foot pedal is 6 ft long.  You could measure the necessary distance with a string, then measure the string to get a clear idea of the length needed.

**Q: i have a riccar model # 108 purchased in 11/1970 is this compatible as pixs are same as mine ?**
A: Yes, it is compatible.  Pay attention to the 2 plugs on as you connect the replacement foot pedal,  one is for the motor and the other is for the light.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Easy to install and a great replacement for a mechanical pedal

Update: it is October of 2024, I pulled out the Pfaff 130 and the foot control no longer works. Upon plugging in, the machine goes full speed. Opened the foot pedal and the slider control inside moves as it should but has no effect - the machine still runs full speed. Ordering another and hoping for more than 2 years of life next time. For my machine, this seems the best option relative to reviews. This was purchased for my moms 1940’s vintage Pfaff 130 machine that had a replacement mechanical rheostat that had operated like an on/off switch! This was easily installed in the Pfaff 130 wood case base. I did have to drill out the center outlet screw hole so I could secure the outlet to the bottom of the wood case as was done for the previous outlet box. This fits well and it’s comforting to have variable speed again on the motor. It is great to have a historical family sewing machine like this working well again.
