**Q: does it have the backing plate**
A: No it does not have the backing plate.

**Q: 2007 Tuscany will it work**
A: Should. As long as the bolt on your old one is offset like the one in the picture.

**Q: Anyone removed this from the rv with the door closed? its not locked, but i guess the plunger is not coming up, cant open the compartment.**
A: If you loosen the bolts you can slip out the old one out.

**Q: Can you give me the product dimensions?**
A: 4.5”x5”  1.75” front to end of screw posts. If you scroll down to “about this product” it should give the dimensions.
