Waterdrop Lucid 10 Cups Water Filter Jug 1 replacement filter is available. (Search model: WD-PF-01A Plus) 1. Attention Before first use, soak the filter in cold tap water for 10 minutes and remove bubbles to activate the filter and ensure the best filter performance. Do not use dishwasher to clean. Note that it is normal to find residual particles of carbon dust in the water while rinsing or soaking the filter. 2. Function & Replacement Method of Display:During the first use, activate the gravity induction indicator by pressing the start button for 3-5 seconds until the blue light flashes. Reset the life of the filter indicator after each filter change. The indicator is replaceable. Replace it by squeezing the jaw. Make sure that the clamping jaw is fully inserted into the groove. 3. Indicator Light Status Introduction The blue light of the indicator lights up when the filter is in good condition, the red light flashes 6 times when the filter needs to be replaced, and the red light will light up when the filter needs to be replaced at the same time. 4. LONG LIFE For best results, change the filter every 3 months or after every 200 gallons. This may vary depending on the quality of your water. 5. No TDS removal series: "TDS" stands for "totally dissolved solids", it consists essentially of inorganic salts and a small amount of organic substances. The filter can remove harmful substances while retaining valuable calcium and magnesium, which are the main components of inorganic salts. 6. Review: A Great Filtration Pitcher - I have used a number of water filtration pitchers in the past, but this one is my favorite. The water taste is very good and I am not a big water drinker as I don't like tap water. People say water doesn't have a taste I disagree. The pitcher is a fair size. I appreciate that you can pour water through the pitcher's top, and after it is completely filled, the small door closes. Another benefit is the automated light indicator. The cost is reasonable. My shelves did not need to be adjusted because the pitcher fit perfectly in my refrigerator.

**Q: How do you know when to change the filter?**
A: Hi Lisa,

Thanks for your interest in our Waterdrop 10-Cup Water Filter Pitcher.

There are two ways to help you confirm when the filter needs to be replaced. 
1. The filter life capacity of this pitcher is up to 200 gallons/3 months. Due to the different water quality and water consumption of each house, the actual replacement time of the filter element is not consistent. The actual situation shall prevail.
2. The indicator on the pitcher can help you know when the filter needs to be replaced. 
Below are three status of the indicator to reflect the filter life for your reference: 
a. The blue light means "Good status" with a maximum of 90 days of the filter life. 
b.The red flash means "Replace soon" with a 10-day grace period to replace the filer. 
c. The red light(stay on for 5 seconds) means "Replace now". At this time, you have to replace the filter immediately to ensure the finest water quality.

**Q: I have been unable to reach customer service. What is the best way to reach them?**
A: Hard to get to them. Leave your massage and tell them you’ve tried so many times during business hours and haven’t heard from anyone. That’s how I got someone to call me back. They were very apologetic and actually nice. Solved my problem.

**Q: What exactly does this filter out? ,also does it filtrr flouride or leave flouride?**
A: It's NSF/ANSI 42/372

NSF 42:
"Filters are certified to reduce aesthetic impurities such as chlorine and taste/odor. These can be point-of-use (under the sink, water pitcher, etc.) or point-of-entry (whole house) treatment systems."

NSF 372 just means the product contains no lead, doesn't mean it filters out lead.The pitcher filters I know of off hand that reduce fluoride and lead are Epic, Clearly Filtered and ZeroWater.

**Q: Is the filter light supposed to blink after every pour? I never see it. (Yest I set it the first time).**
