A: I am not sure of the capacity. It is quite a lot. I use it for brown rice and quinoa. The ratio is 1 1/4 cups more water than rice (2 cups rice, 3 1/4 cups water; 5 cups rice, 6 1/4 cups water, etc.) and it comes out perfect every time. I believe for white rice it is 1/2 cup more water than rice, the brown rice requires more water. I tried to make from instructions using the lines in the cooker but that wasn't accurate so I use this ratio and it is perfect. Hope this helps.

**Q: What is the measurement of the cup that comes with the cooker?**
A: The above answer is NOT correct: (3/4 Cup or 135ml). That is the last gradient you see embossed in the "cup" but the cups "full" purpose is to be exactly at level (completely full, not heaping) witch equates to exactly 180ml (1 gō). This is done on purpose as it applies to the Japanese cuisine standard of measurement being 1 gō in volume, which is the standard for one serving of rice or sake. In US measurement it equates to approximately 3/4 cup.

Amazing rice cooker, Jazmine rice was always creamy while Basmati rice is nice and spongy. Great value for the money, especially when you account that you will not waste rice again by burning it. The rice cooker has been a great addition to my kitchen. It takes a lot longer than our previous rice cooker, but really not too bad. By the time you start the rice, everything else that's being prepared comes out about the same time. I do feel it's a little awkward to clean sometimes as the condensation gathers around the lid area but I've learned to clean it then leave open on the counter overnight to dry and put away in the morning. Overall, I'd purchase again.
