Is it elastic or hard like epoxy when cured?** A: It is elastomeric and should work well for that I would think. I used it to seal the roof seams on a 2015 GMC pickup and it worked great. Keep in mind it is self leveling so it spreads out a bit on its own. **Q: Would this work for adhering rubber matting to a wooden and aluminum boat deck?** A: yes, it would work. A permanent solution would be 3M 5200 sealant. Try a small piece first! **Q: can i use this to attach solar panels to camper roof? pnls weigh 24pnds.** A: I used mine for water proofing sealant while glueing down a metal flang which weighed very little. Not sure about the solar panels **Q: Would this work in a swimming pool. It'll take me months to find if the seal provided by this product is durable. But for now, it looks encouraging. Also, it is rated for "below the waterline", and that should be more than sufficient overkill for a Volkswagen. As I had to apply the sealant from below the car, it dripped a little bit but not badly. The product flows into place readily and can be smoothed, like caulk, with a gloved (!!!) finger. Go without gloves and have a very messy clean-up coming. The product dries to a deep glossy black. As it is paintable, I plan to spray the bottom of the car with undercoating for protection.
