This 2.0mL Eppendorf Safe-Lock polypropylene microcentrifuge tube has a patented hinged lid that eliminates any danger of leaks, ensuring absolute safety when working with expensive or toxic samples, radioactive substances, or DNA. The hinged lid features a small hook that clips around the rim of the test tube to prevent the tube from opening accidentally (e.g. during temperature control processes), though it can be easily opened using just one hand. This assortment pack comes with yellow, red, blue, green, and clear-colored tubes. The microcentrifuge tube can be used in a temperature range from -80 degrees C to +100 degrees C (tube lid is more likely to pop open at temperatures greater than 95 degrees C), and can be autoclaved when open at 121 degrees C for 20 minutes to sterilize. The tube also has volume graduations and frosted labeling surfaces. It is rated up to 25,000 x g for excellent mechanical stability during centrifugation. The tube can be used in a temperature range from -80 degrees C to +100 degrees C. It conforms to the 'Olefin polymers' specifications of regulation 21 CFR § 177,1520. Life expectancy of the Safe-Lock microcentrifuge tube is at least 5 years at a storage temperature of +5 to +35 degrees C. Autoclavable. Material: Polypropylene. Tube Size: 2.0mL.
