I was extra surprised when it arrived and found there is no real assembly; the parts just slide together and you’re ready to go. I used the access code on the quick start guide to log in to the web site for the instructional video on how to use it correctly, then I went straight to the warm up & work out videos - then came the sweat! I did the exercise routine as per their ‘Basic Workout’ which is like a circuit routine where you do a series of different moves, one after the other then rest at the end before doing the whole thing again. It comes with sliders that you use on your hands and on your feet for exercises on and off the machine, so you’re doing a whole body workout, and it mixes things up with different push up variations, and the cool thing was, on this machine, I was actually doing proper push ups right from the start!Now at Boot Camp ( I don’t’ take the machine to boot camp – I keep it at home as my dirty little secret) I’ve started doing some of the push ups properly, before I have to drop back to my knees. We do a lot of push ups during a class, and I only been using the ARC-NRG for short while, but it’s already improved my strength in my upper body, and it gives you a good core work out while you using it and holding your form in the plank position. I purchased this as a training device to help me improve my upper body strength, but I found the workout it gives you is really good – sore muscles, heavy breathing and as I said – lots of sweating. My boyfriend worked through the harder exercises they have on their exercise menu, and he also felt it was a good workout – even for him. Oh, and it’s also very light, so easy to move around and when I’m not using it I just stand it up in my closet out of the way. ### ⭐ One Star *by T***. on April 15, 2017* Sent it back ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ FINALLY A PRACTICAL PUSH-UP MACHINE *by S***3 on January 29, 2017* The ARC-NRG is a very effective way to do graduated push-ups. It hits the intended muscle groups very effectively.I rated the ARC 4 stars instead of 5 because the chest plate could use a little more padding. (I solved this problem by using a small folded dish towel). Additionally when you get on the machine it is very easy to inadvertently hit the foot adjustment switch. After a few tries, getting on and off the machine becomes second nature so that should not deter anyone looking to purchase the ARC.In terms of effectiveness the ARC is a five star performer. It is not constructed for commercial use in a gym.
