## Description

The Silicone Grip Tape is part of the Hornet Watersports line of products that will keep you safe while enjoying your paddle sport and performing at the level you want to. As with any paddle sport, things can get slippery out there on the water. This "self-fusing" tape will can really be useful when it comes to holding on to your paddle so it doesn't slip out of your hand and fall in the water. Not only is the tape practical, it is also stylish. We have chosen 6 great colors so that you can be yourself out on the water and match all your other high-performance, light-weight Hornet products. To produce this tape for our customers, we have chosen a particular silicone material that is offers unique characteristics that will assist your performance. The tiny bubbles manufactured in this product work their magic, and the resulting "self-fusing" allows the tape to stick only to itself. Many paddlers prefer to use tape instead of wax. One common reason for this is that wax can leave your hands uncomfortably sticky. Other paddlers like to match the color of their gear, and most find it convenient to order all their accessories from Hornet Watersports, the leader in lightweight and high performance Dragon Boat and SUP equipment.

Review: Works great! - First time I've used tape on my dragon boat paddle and it works great. I watched a youtube video that shows how to put it on properly. Since getting this tape in May, I've paddled twice a week with it and competed in multi-day races every month. Only now (in August) do I have to re-apply. (The tape started to tear during my last race in July but it still provided enough grip). Overall, I got two uses out of the one roll but I was heavy on the tape the first time around. You could probably get three uses out of a roll if you skimped a bit. Just ordered another two rolls. Love this stuff.
Review: The product was delivered successfully and likely in good condition. - The delivery service and I'm happy with your purchase! The package service was efficient and the product met your expectations upon arrival. The overall experience, from shipping to receipt, was satisfactory.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: I need this tape to be abit tacky so my hands do do slip on my dragonboat paddle my friend has it in clear and seams to work so is it tacky??**
A: Yes it is tacky. It's self fusing tape, so it's not sticky in the sense of having glue, but more tacky. It's best to put the tape on and then wait at least 1 hour to let it settle, and then the tape feels grippy.

**Q: Can this be used to wrap around barbells?**
A: This tape sticks to itself as you overlap it while wrapping. I use it on a graphite paddle but I think it would be worth a try on a barbell. I bet you could ask the company.

**Q: How many feet come on a roll, 4 feet?**
A: 4’

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great grip, no damage, holds great
*by S***T on 18 April 2023*

I got this to put on my Gear Labs greenland paddle and I'm very happy. I didn't want anything that would damage my paddle. This is tacky, and hold great but isn't glue and doesn't hurt the fiber. I did a 17 mile paddle with wet, sweat, and mud and it didn't loosen and provided great grip. For a full length greenland you need 2 rolls. Update. I'm very happy with the 3 stars..works great in sweat mud cold warm water. I've used it for over 60 miles of paddling and it's still on. The left grip is creeping up a little but I think that's because I wrapped it shorter due to running out of 1 roll. Use 1 roll per paddle. I bought 4 more rolls. But haven't had to change yet.
