It looks like it was meant to be there and doesn’t obstruct use or storage like other name tags that stick off to the side. The name plate is a great size, fits small and medium font labels (simply cut the excess around the characters off). I read other reviews that said it doesn’t fit a Cardiology IV but it does! I also saw reviews that said it doesn’t work because the tabs come out where the name plate goes, those reviews are due to user error.
