You could get addicted, like we are... - Oh dear....what started out as part of a Christmas drinks silly-season has now become a "I think we are both addicted" staple in this house and what we ordered as a bit of a joke (I mean.....Peanut Butter? Really??) is now very nearly indispensable. IMHO calling this a whiskey liqueur is overplaying the whiskey element a bit, as to my uneducated palate it just tastes of butterscotch and peanuts. It is quite sweet and has a decent kick of smooth-ish alcohol in a lovely golden. not-too-syrupy base that mixes well with most things we've tried it with. Fizzes of various varieties mix well and it is robust enough to hold it's own when introduced to a slosh of vodka and some ice. As I'm writing this I think a spike of something citrusy would probably work well with it too. We were first introduced to it during a Wetherspoons visit and ended up liking it far more than expected. It sounds a bit odd until you try it, but it’s smooth, sweet without being sickly, and genuinely easy to drink. We love it mixed with Pepsi Max, which works surprisingly well and makes it dangerously moreish. It’s one of those bottles that disappears quicker than planned once it’s open. If you’re curious or fancy trying something a bit different, I’d definitely recommend giving it a go.
