Some of the other mirror's I've seen, including those that you strap to your existing mirror, have a blue hue. This one is crystal clear. The auto-dimming feature at night is great too - it dims the headlights from behind just enough to remove their glaring, but you can still easily pick out the following cars reflected in the mirror.The documentation on install is almost useless, but you really don't need any other than perhaps a brief description on how the fuse extender is to be used.The fuse extender works to provide you a separate fuse for the mirror.1) Check your owners manual and locate a basic fuse, such as dome lights, sunroof, etc. Don't pick items like alarm or radio as you'll need to disconnect the fuse briefly and you probably don't want to reset your radio stations.2) Remove that fuse, and place it into the first slot of the fuse extender.3) Install the supplied 5amp fuse that came with the mirror into the second slot of the fuse extender.4) Wire the end of the fuse extender into the power cable from the mirror.5) Install the completed fuse extender into the slot you first removed the fuse.The devices your fuse controlled are now available, unaltered. The new fuse only handles the power feed to the mirror.Pros:Good solid mirror construction. Unit includes alternate mounting plates if it doesn't fit your model of car.Clean clear mirror reflectionPower light is subtle, and overall the unit looks greatTransition from mirror to camera monitor is fastCons:Instructions brief in regards to how to connect power into the mirror.Supplied fuse extender does not fit Ford vehicles (at least mine). I purchased a different one from my local auto parts store for $7.I will say this unit is a good buy if you want to replace your existing mirror. This is not a strap on, but a complete replacement.
