Gold Plated Copper Connector Binding Posts The Fosmon home theater wall plate binding posts are made with high quality gold plated copper connectors that resist oxidation and corrosion. No soldering or special tools required. Matching binding posts on the front and back of the wall plate are equipped with easy to install thumbscrews that are color coded for polarity. Easy to Install and Remove The Fosmon home theater plastic wall plates are easy to install and include all the screws you need to mount them into standard size gang boxes (Gang box/Mounting bracket not included). Can be used with the included plate or used with any color GFI or rocker toggle switch plate of your choice. Clean and Tidy Installation Fosmon wall plates eliminate the clutter of wiring along your baseboards which results in a clean and tidy installation. Connections Fosmon home theater wall plates are designed to be used with banana plugs, spades or bare wire on both the front and rear of the plate. Banana Plugs Accommodates banana plugs on both front and back sides of the plate at the same time depending on the inside depth of your gang box. Deeper gang boxes work better with installations like this. Distance between positive & negative binding posts - 17mm (approx. 11/16in) Depth of biding post from front to back – 25.4mm (1in) Binding Posts - 4 pair NOTE: Banana jacks do not work with Paired/Dual banana plugs. ## Questions & Answers

**Q: Can I insert a banana plug from the back and the front at the same time?  Or will the back be wire and just the front have banana plugs?**
A: I know I'm posting this answer to an old question, but it might be of use to someone looking to purchase this item. The connectors are identical on the front and back and both will accommodate banana plugs, just not at the same time. The problem is, the connectors are too shallow to accept banana plugs from both sides, otherwise, the plug on one side will get pushed out slightly when inserting a plug from the other side.  So, the solution is to do a bare wire connection from inside the wall, and banana plugs on the receiver side of the wall.

**Q: Can i mount horizontally or vertically or any orientaion?**
A: How it is mounted is more aestheics. It can be mounted ay way you prefer.

**Q: Do these work with standard decora wall plates? I would like to install three of these inside a single three gang electrical box.**
A: These are designed to work in the standard one-gang electrical boxes.  The connectors are attached to the standard size wall plate which is larger than the box so it covers the outside edges of the opening.  For that reason I would not think that you could put three of them together unless you are prepared to cut the plates to fit in a triple gang box.

**Q: Can someone provide an internet link to a gang box that will fit this wall plate?**
A: It fits a standard size single gang box. Home Depot, Lowe’s, etc.
