When bent and contoured to your finger properly this splint really adds stability and helps hyper extension and mild lateral movement. You will know when you have it right because it keeps everything in place where it should be. I have been using what I think is great sterling silver for this splint, its strong and comfortable. This is ring stock sterling silver that is comfortable and will hold its shape after you fine tune it. I feel very comfortable using this for these splints. Plus, I had some recent feedback on them on how to improve them. But whats important is you, it has to work for you, stay in place and be comfortable, that's what matters most. Aligning your joint and bringing you relief is honestly why I make these. Please always let me know if you need me because Shannon and I are totally here for you. As with all of my RA rings, if this doesn't work for you, I will 100% refund you and take it back. You are never stuck with any of my splints if they don't work for you. On splints like these, I send them to you in a "half hard" state so that you can get them to form to your finger. This ring is somewhat adjustable, you can shape it to your finger too see what's best and most comfortable for you. First of all I am an Occupational Therapist and highly recommend this product for several reasons including function, beauty, affordability and the best customer service. In regard to customer service they are very responsive to emails and was able to answer mine in less than 24 hours. They will send you out a complementary ring sizer and will work with you to customize what you need. Yes, customization on Amazon!! Even the packaging was adorable (see image) with a hand written note (not shown). I have also included an image of the thumb spica splint I was forced to wear due to no other options prior to finding these splints on amazon. The splint fits great and is a HUGE improvement from the thumb spica, which was also immobilizing my wrist which didn't need to be immobilized. The last pictures show me using the thumb splint with a neoprene strap that does protect the trigger point in the web space. I am much more functional using this splint, even just typing this review and using the mouse. I can wash my hands or use hand-sanitizer without having to remove it. Gloves easily fit over it. It is so much cooler using it, as I live in Florida and the thumb spica gets so hot. This is just a beautiful piece of jewelry that keeps my thumb from triggering and hurting. I would highly recommend for swan neck and boutonniere deformities as well. And best of all this is affordable, because hopefully my trigger thumb will get better soon!!
