## Description

The Aircast Air-Stirrup Universe Ankle Support Brace is commonly worn immediately after an ankle injury and throughout recovery. It's intended to prevent or treat acute ankle injuries, chronic instability, post-operative use and ankle sprains grade I, II, and III. Featuring semi-rigid, anatomically designed shells which help stabilize and protect the ankle. These shells are lined with patented Duplex air cells that enhance circulation and reduce swelling and edema. The air cells are pre-inflated and provide pulsating compression while walking, helping accelerate rehabilitation. Review: Absolute life saver. I badly sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago. After an X-ray I was told it was severe, but that there was nothing they could do. After a bit of research I found this. It has sped my recovery incredibly. The padding gently pushes swelling away from the injury and the rigid plastic locks the ankle in place. The combination massively reduces the pain and I was able to go about my business (if a little slowly). It takes a bit of adjusting the straps, but once you get them right, you'll know it - it's very comfortable. I was also able to wear certain shoes while wearing it. I like it so much I went ahead and got the A60 brace to support the ankle now the injury has recovered a bit.

**Q: Is this model L4350**
A: No

**Q: do these fit comfortably inside your shoes?**
A: Yes, for me. I have 14EE feet, wear big shoes, these conform magnificently to my ankles. I wore them 18 hours yesterday, mix of driving, walking and standing and only when I took my shoes off at the end did I feel that I had to get these Aircasts off. I love these, worn them about two years and have a spare set if these ever fail. It looks like it will be a long wait to ever use those spares.

**Q: I don’t have the instructions so how do you appropriately wear it on a left leg?**
A: The brace will work equally well on either ankle. You'll just need to adjust the strap that goes under your foot if it's not already at the right length. And you can situate the sides however feeds the velcro straps the way you like. It truly doesn't matter. Good luck!

**Q: I have a size 14. E with foot.  Will this be large enough?**
A: I would not recommend using this one. It put way too much pressure on the ankle and the area under your heel just didn’t fit correctly. I wear a size 10 1/2. So to answer your question, I would say no.
