## Description

The Aircast Air-Stirrup Universe Ankle Support Brace is commonly worn immediately after an ankle injury and throughout recovery. It's intended to prevent or treat acute ankle injuries, chronic instability, post-operative use and ankle sprains grade I, II, and III. Featuring semi-rigid, anatomically designed shells which help stabilize and protect the ankle. These shells are lined with patented Duplex air cells that enhance circulation and reduce swelling and edema. The air cells are pre-inflated and provide pulsating compression while walking, helping accelerate rehabilitation. Review: Makes the pain go away instantly - I wish the podiatrist had given me this after I injured my ankle. This is a very good product. It made the pain go away immediately. Sizing is everything. I ordered a Medium because I have large calves. But, I'm also short - 5'4". So the medium is too tall for me. The indentation for the ankle bone is too high no matter how much I shortened the stirrup so it caused the ankle bone - Medial Malleolus - to hurt within an hour. A lucky mistake made all the difference. They had sent me the wrong size in the beginning and I had started the return but fortunately had not sent it back yet. They sent me a pediatric extra small. Just out of interest, I adjusted the stirrup to the longest setting and tried on the extra small pediatric. The strap just barely fit my large calf. It fit perfectly over the Medial Malleolus and, although short, it seems to give the same support as the taller one. Pain free. All I have to do is remember that my ankle, while pain free, still needs to heal so I need to rest it and not over do walking yet.

**Q: Is this model L4350**
A: No

**Q: do these fit comfortably inside your shoes?**
A: Yes, for me. I have 14EE feet, wear big shoes, these conform magnificently to my ankles. I wore them 18 hours yesterday, mix of driving, walking and standing and only when I took my shoes off at the end did I feel that I had to get these Aircasts off. I love these, worn them about two years and have a spare set if these ever fail. It looks like it will be a long wait to ever use those spares.

**Q: I don’t have the instructions so how do you appropriately wear it on a left leg?**
A: The brace will work equally well on either ankle. You'll just need to adjust the strap that goes under your foot if it's not already at the right length. And you can situate the sides however feeds the velcro straps the way you like. It truly doesn't matter. Good luck!

**Q: I have a size 14. E with foot.  Will this be large enough?**
A: I would not recommend using this one. It put way too much pressure on the ankle and the area under your heel just didn’t fit correctly. I wear a size 10 1/2. So to answer your question, I would say no.

Un po scettico della superficie plastica a contatto delle pelle ho voluto comunque provarla e direi che mi sono trovato benissimo. Pratico da mattere ha delle dimensioni che permettonon di poterle infilarle in varie calzature. Semplice da pulire, non fa odore, non fa male (forse al primo utilizzo tirava appena la pelle), regolabile a piacimento. Davvero un buon prodotto.
