I left mine outside. **Q: What features does the "professional" version have from the other more basic ones?** A: My comment will be based on a comparison to an earlier "family" set we once owned. The" professional" version has stronger grommets on the netting. And the netting edges are "sleeved" on the top and bottom (not just the ends) which we noted made for greater strength with no sagging due to this extra re-enforcing.. The professional set has heavier, longer lines and more stakes than our earlier family set. Set up instructions are more complicated than a "family set," but the extra lacings required and tie downs are well worth the time it takes. Much, much sturdier than our previous set. We are very happy that we bought the "professional" set.
