If the chute deploys too early, you run the risk of detatching the chute from the rocket. The optimum time for chute deployment is at the moment of apogee, when the rocket is essentially at a stand-still. My recommendation is to stick with a C6-7. Observe the chute deployment, if the rocket passes apogee for an appreciable time before deployment, then you may consider a shorter delay time. But for this rocket, I think a C6-3 is too short of a delay time. Maybe a C6-5 might be something to consider. Short answer, C6-7 at first. I hope this helps.
