I completely disagree with this claim. In the humidity of coastal Florida, I hadn't experienced static issues with laundry--until using Woolzies. Using Woolzies alone, laundry was coming out of the dryer in a cohesive ball. Fortunately, another reviewer mentioned an easy fix: toss a ball of aluminum foil into the dryer! I did this, and we're back to static-free laundry. (TIP: after rolling up the aluminum foil, I pressed it down on the kitchen counter to eliminate the jagged edges. After it went through the dryer once, it had "softened" to where the seams were nonexistent, so there's no need to worry about it snagging on laundry.) - Noise free.
