I still ended up buying the bottle, since I wanted something to keep in my purse for when I walk to work and I definitely wanted something pretty light.When I first got the bottle, I noticed it had a strong smell of tea, which makes me think that it had been sold to someone else and then returned and resold. I rinsed off the bottle, but there was still a slight smell. However, the water in the bottle tasted normal, so I kept the bottle because I didn't want to go through the hassle of returning it. I have to say that I was impressed, however, by the insulation in this bottle. I filled it up with ice cubes and cold water at 7am when I left for work, and by 5pm, there were still some ice left in the bottle.That's definitely good enough for my needs. The bottle also looks very nice and is leakproof. I also like that the mouth is large enough to fit at least smaller ice cubes. There's also no condensation on the outside of the bottle.I would give it five stars if it weren't for the smell of tea and the marketing tactics of the company selling them. Normally when I see that a product only or mainly has "bought" reviews (people stating they got the product for free), I automatically assume that there's something wrong with the product. It just makes the seller seem untrustworthy to me. The only reason for why I ended up getting this product is because I couldn't find any good substitutes for it. This bottle is all of that and more.It is thin enough for my seven year old to hold and it fits easily in her backpack side pockets. It is insulated and keeps water COLD all day. It is a bonus that the colors are so pretty as they really appeal to my seven year old despite not having princesses or puppies on it. (I got the pink and the aqua.)It does not cause the water to have a metallic taste as some other stainless steel water bottles do. I did need to wash it several times to get rid of the factory smell it had when I first received it.
