Used as insulator in double-walled wood stove pipe for my RV. Placed between steel stove pipe and galvanized ducting at ceiling / roof exit. Made exit pipe warm to the touch where it was previously too hot to touch. Panel is easily peeled into thinner panels. Insulation has a cotton-candy like quailty to it - any spare material can be "formed", glommed, or packed to fill empty areas. I used it to repack some racing mufflers, as I was under the impression fiberglass packing would melt and/or break down in my application. This is not the ideal material for mufflers, as the fibers are rather short and more prone to blowing out the tail pipe, but it has held up for a number of events. I was worried upon initial start up, because I did notice some minute fibers in the tail pipe, but I haven't noticed any more.WEAR A MASK, EYE PROTECTION AND GLOVES when working with this stuff.
